Angel of Remembrance 

For some, angels need to be represented as gentle, pleasing and benevolent. My one experience was the inspiration for this picture. My angel was neutral, a messenger with a task. Her gaze was steady and insistent. She compelled me to re-visit some actions I had taken, purely selfish and adolescent… the experiences were deeply felt, from both sides, mine and the person I hurt. It was a small purgatory of pain, terrifically unpleasant, transfixing me with a holy fire that revealed all… The lesson absorbed, the blessing given, the path a bit clearer ever since.
